Pooth Kalan is a census town in North West district in the Indian state of Delhi.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Pooth Kalan had a population of 50,587. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Pooth Kalan has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 56%. In Pooth Kalan, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age. It is a emerging town with new colleges and schools nearby like Delhi Public School Ryan International School, the Heritage School, the Maxfort School and others. The Maharaja Agarsen Institute of Techology is nearby.
