Posey Township is one of thirteen townships in Washington County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,888 and it contained 823 housing units.[1]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 33.82 square miles (87.6 km2), of which 33.55 square miles (86.9 km2) (or 99.20%) is land and 0.27 square miles (0.70 km2) (or 0.80%) is water.[1]
