From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Princess Iman bint Al Hussein (Arabic: إيمان بنت الحسين, born on August 3, 2024) is the first daughter of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa. She holds the distinction of being the first grandchild of King Abdullah II of Jordan and Queen Rania.[1][2]

Background

[edit]

As a member of the Hashemite royal family, she is part of the dynasty that governs the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.[3] The name "Iman" (Arabic: إيمان) is derived from Arabic, meaning "faith," and is commonly used in Arabic and Islamic cultures, symbolizing spiritual and religious values.[4]

She is the third member of the Hashemite family to has the name Iman, as there are Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Princess Iman bint Al Hussein bin Talal.[5] The Royal Hashemite Court announced her birth, sharing the parents' joy and gratitude. The announcement also encouraged well-wishers to make donations to the Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans instead of sending gifts or flowers.[6]
