Pteridoideae is one of the five subfamilies of the Pteridaceae family of ferns. This subfamily contains about 14 genera[1] and around 400 species.[2] The following diagram, shows a likely phylogenic relationship between Pteridoideae and the other the Pteridaceae subfamilies.[3]
