Quackenkill (or Quacken Kill) is a populated place in Rensselaer County, New York. The name was collected by the United States Geological Survey between 1976 and 1980 and entered into the Geographic Names Information System on January 23, 1980.[1]

By the 1860s the town produced argillite, wood, tank bark, and charcoal; these resources were exported to Troy. In 1860 Quackenkill consisted of 10 houses.[2]
