The Radical Movement (French: Mouvement radical, MR), whose complete name is Radical, Social and Liberal Movement (Mouvement radical, social et libéral) is a social-liberal political party in France.

The party aims at being an "alternative to the right-left paradigm".[2][3]

History

The idea for a united Radical Party in France once again was first publicised in June 2017.[4].

The MR was founded on 10 December 2017 and merged the Radical Party and the Radical Party of the Left (PRG). The two parties had been divided from each other since the PRG split from the Radical Party in 1972.[2][3]

Ideology

There are eight core ideas that the party stated at the founding congress[5]
