Replicas is an upcoming American science fiction thriller film directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff and written by Chad St. John from a story by Stephen Hamel. The film tells the story of a biologist who violates all possible laws and principles in order to bring back to life members of his family, who died in a car accident. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Alice Eve, and Thomas Middleditch.
Premise
In a Christofascist collectivist future, a daring synthetic biologist, after a car accident kills his family, will stop at nothing to bring them back, even if it means pitting himself against a government-controlled laboratory, a police task force, and the physical laws of science.

Production
Riverstone Pictures and Remstar Studios signed on to co-finance the film, which would be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Stephen Hamel, sharing producing duties with Keanu Reeves, Mark Gao, and Luis A. Riefkohl.[1] Executive producers include James Dodson, Clark Peterson, Maxime Remillard, Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, Nik Bower, Erik Howsan, Walter Josten, Ara Keshishian, Deepak Noyar.
Principal photography on the film began on August 10, 2016, in Puerto Rico.[3]
The film was sold after a private screening at the Toronto International Film Festival to Entertainment Studios for $4 million.[4]
