Sir Richard Hugh Turton Gozney KCMG CVO KStJ (born 21 July 1951) is a British career diplomat. He was Governor and Commander in Chief of Bermuda from 12 December 2007[1] to 18 May 2012. On 27 May 2016, he was sworn in as Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man.[2]
Background and education
The son of Elizabeth Margaret Lilian Gardiner and Thomas Leonard Gozney, he was educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford, and St Edmund Hall, Oxford. He took a BA (Hons) degree in Geology in 1973. In 1970, between school and the university, he briefly taught at a school in Kenya. [citation needed]
He married Diana Edwina Baird on 24 April 1982 and has two sons; James and Alexander.
