Roderick Charles Carey (born July 24, 1971) is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at Northern Illinois University (NIU). Formerly the co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach under Dave Doeren, Carey was promoted to head coach after Doeren left to accept the head coaching job at North Carolina State University.[1]
Carey has led NIU to five bowl games in six seasons, but has compiled a record of 0–5 in those games as of 2018.
