The Rollin 60's Neighborhood Crips is a black street gang based in Los Angeles, California.
They became notorious when several men identified as members of the Rollin' 60 were arrested by police investigating the murders of the family of professional football player Kermit Alexander.[2]
History
According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Rollin' 60's was the largest black criminal street gang in the City of Los Angeles with over 1,600 active members - the size of an Army brigade."[3] Gang activities included murder, bank robberies, rape, drug trafficking, carjacking, assault and vandalism/graffiti.[3] Originally formed in Los Angeles, the 60's had spread to other cities in California and even the United States. LAPD has been cracking down on many 60's members in recent years.
