Sambo at the 2025 World Games – Qualification

This article details the qualifying phase for sambo at the 2025 World Games. 80 quota places for the Games are entitled to the sambist coming from their respective NOCs, based on the results at designated tournaments supervised by International Sambo Federation. The host nation China has reserved a spot in each of the events.

Qualifying system[edit]

The main qualification criteria will be ranking published by International Sambo Federation.In period of qualification process there will be held two World Cup stages, four Continental Championships (one for each zone) and World Championships.[1]

First qualification[edit]

6 Places per Category Two best athletes from rankings of Europe and Asia&Oceania zone will get quota places for the Games. The best athletes in rankings of Africa and Americas zones will get their quota places. There will be 60 quota places in total to gain via ranking.

Second qualification[edit]

1 Place per Category: The person from the host country China.

Third qualification[edit]

1 Place per Category: The remaining total of 10 places are distributed by wild card.
