Shut In is an upcoming American psychological thriller film directed by Farren Blackburn and written by Christina Hodson. The film stars Naomi Watts, Oliver Platt, Charlie Heaton, David Cubitt and Jacob Tremblay. The film is set to be released on February 19, 2016.
Production
On November 5, 2014, it was announced that EuropaCorp had set Farren Blackburn to direct psychological thriller based on the 2012 Black List script, Shut In by Christina Hodson.[1] EuropaCorp would be finance, distribute worldwide and co-produce the film with Lava Bear Films.[1] Naomi Watts was set to play the lead role.[1] On March 18, 2015, Oliver Platt, Charlie Heaton, David Cubitt, Jacob Tremblay, and Clementine Poidatz were added to the cast of the film.[2]
Filming
Filming began in the mid-March 2015 in Canada, as actress Watts was spotted on March 15 during filming in Sutton, Quebec.[3] Filming will take place in Eastern Townships of Quebec and then the production will move to Vancouver, British Columbia.[3]
Release
In March 2015, EuropaCorp set the film for an February 19, 2016 release.[4]
