Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center is a 165-bed tertiary acute-care hospital in San Luis Obispo, California, United States. Its chief executive officer is Joseph DeSchryver, who succeeded Candace Markwith as CEO in 2013.[1] It is owned by Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSETHC).

The hospital offers a range of services, including neurosurgery, a high risk pregnancy program, a dedicated pediatric unit and a neonatal intensive care unit.

The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

It is involved in a dispute with its unionized nurses over terms of its extended sick leave plan.[2][3]

Parents of a newborn who died at the hospital filed a wrongful death lawsuit in February 2009.[4]

A parking garage at the hospital recently opened.[5]
