Simon Child (born 16 April 1988 in Auckland) is a field hockey player from New Zealand, who earned his first cap for the national team, nicknamed The Black Sticks, in 2005 against Malaysia. He currently plays for Delhi Waveriders
He played in the 2006 Men's Hockey World Cup in Mönchengladbach, Germany and at the Field hockey at the 2008 & 2012 Summer Olympics.[1] He is current captain of the New Zealand Men's Hockey Team (Blacksticks)
