Skjold is a village in the municipality of Målselv in Troms county, Norway. Skjold is located 30 km (19 mi) east of Andselv at the confluence of the Målselva and Fjellfrøselva rivers. The village of Holmen lies just east of Skjold. The 0.75-square-kilometre (190-acre) village has a population (2013) of 242, which gives the village a population density of 323 inhabitants per square kilometre (840/sq mi).[1]

The Skjold army base is located just north of the village of Skjold. It is home to the Brigade Nord (Northern brigade) of the Norwegian Army.
