Sonia Vihar(सोनिया विहार) (Pronounce)ⓘ is located to the north-east of Delhi near Wazirabad on the bank of the river Yamuna. It is situated at a distance of about 26 km from the Indira Gandhi International Airport,13 km from the New Delhi railway station.Purani Delhi Railway Junction is only 10 km far from this and the Nearest Metro station is Vishvavidyala Metro station which is only 4 km far from this Area.It is a semi-urban area which comes under Karawal Nagar assembly area.Sonia Vihar is divided into Blocks and Pusta's Like A,B,C,D,E,F & G Blocks which also named as 1,2,3,4 as G-1,G-2,G-3,G-4 Blocks and 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 5th Pusta. Sonia Vihar is thickly populated. Sonia Vihar road is the busiest road which connects North East Delhi to Tronica City,Ghaziabad,U.P.There is Lightning Problem on the main road.Delhi Transport Corporation and Delhi Cluster Buses provide bus services to Sonia Vihar from Mori Gate 258, New Delhi 258A and from NOIDA 33A(which is a rarity) are the bus routes to Sonia Vihar. There are plans to include this place to the Delhi Metro Railway network.Wazirabad Bridge is the connecting bridge between North Delhi and Yamuna Par.Signature Bridge, which will be built across the Yamuna to provide a key link between north and east Delhi, is almost complete and This bridge will replace the existing Old bridge of Wazirabad near Sonia Vihar.Signature Bridge will be beneficial for Sonia Vihar too as most people of Sonia Vihar use Wazirabad Old Bridge and Daily stuck in huge traffic jam on Yamuna.
