Sphere is a British animated short film created in 2013 by Aardman Animations for the University of Bristol and the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute.[1] It was directed by Richard Webber.
Plot
Sphere "involved asking members of the general public for their views on the technologies being developed in a project called SPHERE (Sensor Platform for HEalthcare in a Residential Environment), and what the outcomes might mean for them".[2] As a result, "The creatures within the animation voiced opinions which reflected public reaction to SPHERE".[3]

Sphere was uploaded to YouTube via the UniversityOfBristol channel on 4 September 2013,[4] and uploaded to the aardmancommercials channel six days later.
Critical reception
The EPSRC described the film as a "Creature comforts-style animation film".[3]
