Sports Reference
Sports Reference, LLC is a company which operates several sports-related websites including Baseball-Reference.com, Pro-Football-Reference.com, Basketball Reference, and Hockey Reference.[1]
Descripton
The site also includes sections on college football, college basketball and, until December 2016, the Olympics.[2] The sites attempt a comprehensive approach to sports data. For example, Baseball-Reference.com contains more than 100,000 box scores and Pro-Football-Reference.com contains data on every scoring play in the National Football League since 1941.[1]
The company, which is based in Philadelphia, was founded as Sports Reference in 2004 and was incorporated as Sports Reference LLC in 2007.[1][3]
Olympics
The site section dedicated to statistics on the Olympics Games was definitively closed in 2016, before the databases were updated to the 2016 Summer Olympics.[4]
