Structures from Silence (1984) is the third album by the American ambient musician Steve Roach. This is his first purely textural album, with a smooth, dark, gentle atmosphere unlike any of his other albums.

A remastered version of this album, with a different cover, was released in 2001 by Projekt.[4]

A 30-year anniversary edition was released by Projekt in 2014. The album was remastered in 24-bit/96k from the original analog mixes. "With today's evolution of audiophile analog mastering tools we were able to reveal the original beauty, detail and essence-of-tone captured on the 30 IPS analog master which has not been heard like this until now."[4] There is both a single-CD edition, and a 3-CD deluxe edition that includes two bonus discs created in 2013. Both editions use the original cover art.[4] The remastered original album (but not the two bonus discs) was made available as 24-bit/96k digital downloads.[5]

In late November 2014, Steve Roach was selected as Echoes Radio's #1 Artist [6] and Structures from Silence was voted as the #2 album.[7] England's FACT MAG nominated Structures as the #4 best reissue of 2014.[8] "Given how much ink has been sloshed about the 2014 ambient revival, it’s a perfect time to return to this classic album – still spellbinding, three decades on."
