Switchblade is a computer platform game developed by Core Design and released by Gremlin Graphics in 1989.

Development and release

The game was released for the Amiga, Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64[1] and Amstrad CPC formats. An enhanced port of the latter for the Amstrad GX4000 console was released in 1991.[2]

Gameplay

The player guides the protagonist, Hiro, through a flip-screen platform environment with a subterranean setting. Unexplored areas of the screen are obscured from view until the player character enters them.[3]

Legacy

A sequel, Switchblade II was released in 1991.[4][5]
