TDT–Unibet Cycling Team is a Dutch UCI Continental cycling team focusing on road bicycle racing.[1] Bas Tietema created the team in 2023. The team is set to upgrade to UCI ProTeam status in 2024.[2][3]

History

The main sponsor of the team is Unibet who sponsored a team back in 2006/2007 (You have called {{Contentious topics}}. You probably meant to call one of these templates instead:

Alerting users

  • {{alert/first}} ({{Contentious topics/alert/first}}) is used, on a user's talk page, to "alert", or draw a user's attention, to the contentious topics system if they have never received such an alert before. In this case, this template must be used for the notification.
  • {{alert}} ({{Contentious topics/alert}}) is used, on a user's talk page, to "alert", or draw a user's attention, to the fact that a specific topic is a contentious topic. It may only be used if the user has previously received any contentious topic alert, and it can be replaced by a custom message that conveys the contentious topic designation.
  • {{alert/DS}} ({{Contentious topics/alert/DS}}) is used to inform editors that the old "discretionary sanctions" system has been replaced by the contentious topics system, and that a specific topic is a contentious topic.
  • {{Contentious topics/aware}} is used to register oneself as already aware that a specific topic is a contentious topic.

Miscellaneous

  • {{Contentious topics/list}} and {{Contentious topics/table}} show which topics are currently designated as contentious topics. They are used by a number of templates and pages on Wikipedia.) but because of a dispute with the UCI over gambling companies being sponsors they pulled out. Now with other teams having sponsors which are lotteries, Unibet decided to come back to professional cycling, [4] although from 2025 teams sponsored by gambling companies will not be able to race in Belgium.[5]

Hugo Haak joined as Team Manager in 2023 after coaching on the Track for the past few years.[6]

The team's calendar for 2023 consisted of mostly Belgian and Dutch races.[7] The teams biggest victory was stage 1 of the ZLM Tour by Yentl Vandevelde. Despite this success, Vandevelde was let go by the team for 2024.[8]

Equipment

The team uses Cannondale bicycles in a bright yellow-pink colour scheme.[9] The bike has Shimano Ultegra Di2 12 speed gearing with Scope wheels[10] and Pirelli tires.[11]
