There is a grave problem with this article: the objects in the museum have, to the best of my knowledge, all been moved to a new museum near the Troy excavations. I visited this new museum myself in december 2018, and it was very obvious this would be the new setting. However, even during my stay in Çanakkale it was almost impossible to get reliable information. Websites by the government still referred to the Çanakkale museum that I only saw in passing and that seemed to be closed. During earlier visits I had been informed by staff that there would be a move, so I was not surprised. I put pictures of the new setting as well as of objects in the museum on this, the current page, as I am rather new to editing in the Wikipedia and do not dare start a new page. I did put some information in the present article, in bold text putting attention to the move. That is all I can currently do. I still find, after some searching, that almost the only information I can find is in articles in the Turkish press that describe how a museum will be opened (soon). At https://www.lonelyplanet.com/news/2018/12/14/experience-troy-new-museum-turkey/ is about the only reliable information of the move. And at https://www.archdaily.com/911479/museum-of-troy-yalin-architectural-design the builders company describe the new museum. However, in Gaziantep I have found that mosaics from an earlier museum were transferred to a new one, but the old museum remained open, though much reduced. Maybe a similar situation will arise in Canakkale, I simply do not know. Dosseman (talk) 14:41, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
