Wait a minute...[edit]

If there were 200 seats and Macdonald only won 99, why don't we remember this as the first minority government? 24.64.165.129 (talk) 17:37, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Evolution of Canadian Democracy[edit]

This article would be much more readable -- and the context much better understood by the reader -- if it discussed the state of democracy at the time. For example, this was the last national election before the introduction of the secret ballot, votes were bought and declared in public at the hustings, there were extensive limitations on who had the right to vote, etc. Democracy is still evolving in Canada today, with discussion during the 2015 election about a reform that may eliminate the first-past-the-post voting system.Brett epic (talk) 15:04, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Updated Library of Parliament Count[edit]

The library of parliament has moved the website, and it now shows the Liberals had 94 seats, and there were two Indepndents, not 1... so that changes a lot. I can't fix everything by myself so I'm just informing everyone that there may be some errors on this page. PoliceClarity (talk) 23:18, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
