[edit]Why did Genoa qualify for the final with one victory (forfeited) while Ginnastica Torino had to play 2 games, winning the first and losing the second? Ginnastica Torino played its second game against Internazionale Torino, the latter playing its first game, and with that victory it qualified for the finals. Juveboy 01:44, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- There were three teams from Turin and one from Genoa, maybe they wanted to have one team more from Genoa. However with five teams and only four possible for the semis 2 teams had to play for the last place in the semis. Probably Genoa and Internazionale were already set in the semis because they were in the final the year before. So there were three left and maybe they thought a game genoa vs genoa would be interesting. So the first Semi was already filled (Genoa 1893 vs Sampierdarenese), while in the second semi it was Internazionale vs X. X was either Ginnastica or FC Torinese. So they had to play for this last place and the winner went into the semis against Internazionale. I think this Championship, which was only on 2 days, wasn't a really important thing, so it didn't matter and they just didn't care about two teams playing one more game, I mean it was a quite unimportant event.
- In the CL the weaker teams also have to play more games and qualify first. Later Genoa was often set directly for the final as the winner of the year before. I know you'll probably never read that again, which is bad organization by Wikipedia, but it could be interesting for someone else ;)--SamWinchester000 (talk) 02:06, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

[edit]This event wasn't really important, but I think "The winner was Genoa." isn't really accurate. You can take a short look into the german article if you want.--SamWinchester000 (talk) 02:15, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
