I intend to expand this article to include the wealth of material available on this earthquake. In addition to more information from sources 2 & 4, there are at least a further ten that contain useful material, particularly the CFTI5MED catalogue. There is also much discussion about the causative fault, the epicentre and the magnitude over which significant disagreement remains, although at least one source has attempted to forward model the result of slip on all the suggested faults and narrow down the options by comparing predicted with observed intensities. I will be doing this in a sandbox, so it will probably appear here section by section as I work through them. This has been on my mental to-do-list for a while, even if it's only recently appeared on my userpage list. Mikenorton (talk) 19:22, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've finished expanding and decided not to go into excessive detail (any more than I already have) about the possible earthquake sources as no consensus appears to be developing in the literature as yet. Mikenorton (talk) 16:02, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
