Interleague exhibition games

At the start of which season - 77-78 or 78-79 - did the WHA and NHL teams take part in interleague exhibition games? I know that they did, I saw the schedule of games in the newspaper sports section, but which year was it? GBC (talk) 11:51, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

playoff bracket
