Season headlines and rule changes

[edit]

I started a "season headlines" section as with the 2007-08 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, take a look at that page to see what a finished season might look like. The idea is to have a place to keep track of the big stories of each year, milestones, etc. I also added a "rule change" section like 2006-07 since moving the 3-point line is pretty major. Standings

[edit]

I added some standings like they do on 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Fbdave (talk) 00:07, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

key matchups and upsets section

[edit]

Just like our football equivalent, does anyone want to take a stab at this. If not, ill do it on my time.--Levineps (talk) 04:03, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm kind of against including this section for basketball. There aren't really any good criteria to use to determine what games to include aside from Top25 vs. Top25 games, and unranked vs. Top25 upsets. Both of these events happen A TON over the course of the season, so do we simply include every one of those games here? Otherwise, it seems like it will just become personal opinion as to which games are included. Any thoughts anyone? If we can't come up with a better way to decide what games to include, then we should probably just remove it. Ryan2845 (talk) 04:41, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some of the player's names from the points, rebounds, and assists per game leaders are not linking to the correct person (Jermaine Taylor, Jordan Hill, Jay Greene, etc.). I do not know how to fix this problem.

You need to disambiguate the players. The naming convention for basketball players, coaches, etc. is to add (basketball) to the end of the article name. See my edit. — X96lee15 (talk) 16:29, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
