Tripura election
[edit]@Ok123l Chennai Super Kings Lover has also supported to keep only BJP and CPIM in infobox. TIPRA has not yet announced their intention to contest this election. The images of the party leaders are not being added because there are only umages of tipra and inc leader as per opinion of Mcmatter. When images of most of party's leaders will be available, they will be added.
N.B. : You can check the edit summary page of the article if you have any sort of doubt in my statement. XYZ 250706 (talk) 15:48, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l Besides TTAADC can in no way be leader's seat for legislative assembly poll. XYZ 250706 (talk) 15:50, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- Okay you can remove them from infobox and remove the photos if you think that's best but for TIPRA leaders seat see 2009 Indian general election and 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election for example where it mentions Rajya Sabha seat and MLC respectively. Ok123l (talk) 15:54, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- @XYZ 250706 I moved the discussion here. Ok123l (talk) 15:55, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- Rajya Sabha and MLC are different from TTAADC because Rajya Sabha MP can become PM and on the other hand MLC member can become CM. But I think TTAADC member cannot become CM without becoming a legislator. XYZ 250706 (talk) 15:58, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

Alliance
[edit]Although Facebook is not a reliable souce for many editors, Facebook links has been added to Gujarat 2022 election previously. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=727066045641837&set=pcb.727066065641835 (from cpim tripura offical facebook page) includes congress as Left Front partner. Should we change the name of DSA to LF? XYZ 250706 (talk) 16:32, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
Sources for Left+INC alliance [1] [2] [3] WikiEdits2003 (talk) 07:24, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
Facebook links were added in Gujarat page only because those parties were so small no mainstream news source cared to talk about them. But for SDF in Tripura there are quite a few sources, including The Indian Express. I support keeping it as SDF. Ok123l (talk) 08:43, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l CPIM leaders including Sitaram Yechury opposed the term alliance (https://www.facebook.com/cpimtripuraofficialpage/videos/492999523014130/). SDF is not an alliance, it is the oppostion parties which are against BJP government.http://www.uniindia.com/news/east/cpi-m-announces-seat-sharing-with-congress--motha-in-tripura-polls/2895230.html. Should we add LF and INC separately under SDF? XYZ 250706 (talk) 08:45, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
Also XYZ 250706 I don't know what terms Sitaram Yechury wants to use but an alliance is an alliance and should be named as such. Ok123l (talk) 08:45, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l He said it is a seat adjustment only.http://www.uniindia.com/news/east/cpi-m-announces-seat-sharing-with-congress--motha-in-tripura-polls/2895230.html. I think we should add LF and INC separately under SDF XYZ 250706 (talk) 08:47, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l Not only Sitaram Yechury, Jitendra Choudhury and Narayan Kar also said it as seat sharing instead of alliance. XYZ 250706 (talk) 08:49, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l I am asking you whether we should add LF and INC separately under SDF. XYZ 250706 (talk) 08:55, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

- @XYZ 250706 They are probably just trying to distance themselves from Congress's centrist ideology. It has been covered by mainstream media as an alliance. Seat adjustment basically means prepoll alliance, if SDF wins Tripura polls they would form government together, its an alliance.Ok123l (talk) 08:55, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- We can't call A + B as B. Congress + Left Front = Secular Democratic Forces. Congress and Left Front are different. SharadSHRD7 (talk) 09:00, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- I want to say like this : https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2023_Tripura_Legislative_Assembly_election&oldid=1135701586 XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:05, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- @SharadSHRD7 I added SDF having two section LF and INC. XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:10, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

- Congress and Left Front should be added together under SDF yes I agree. Ok123l (talk) 09:02, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l Is this valid (old revision): https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2023_Tripura_Legislative_Assembly_election&oldid=1135701586 XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:06, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- No it's not valid because you're trying to convey SDF and LF as separate alliances. Please try to understand Congress + LF = SDF. Jitendra Choudhury is the leader of this alliance, similar to M. K. Stalin, the leader of Secular Progressive Alliance in 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election. SharadSHRD7 (talk) 09:10, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- @SharadSHRD7 LF and INC are under SDF. Like you added MGB, SPA etc under Regional alliances in 2024 lok sabha previously. XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:11, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- The content you said is in dispute. I stopped adding regional alliances after agreeing to wait for official announcement. Please don't try to divert this discussion. SharadSHRD7 (talk) 09:13, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- I added parties and alliance section in the sense : LF + INC = SDF XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:14, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- I am not diverting, I am explaining with example only. LF and INC were under SDF in the sense : LF + INC = SDF. XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:14, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- UPA and LF already mentioned in "blocs" column of SDF. So there's no need for separate heading. SharadSHRD7 (talk) 09:16, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- That I was saying whether LF and INC should be added separately as sub headings under SDP or Adding in same column with separate blocs. Thank you. XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:17, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- Both INC and Left Front should be added under SDF in same table. They're contesting together. Blocs are mentioned in separate column of the table. SharadSHRD7 (talk) 09:19, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

SDF reformed
[edit]Hey @XYZ 250706SharadSHRD7 SDF is set to be reformed today, we should add it back: https://www.daijiworld.com/news/newsDisplay?newsID=1046016 Ok123l (talk) 05:47, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- Manik Sarkar has said CPI(M) and Congress are together: https://www.deccanherald.com/election/bjps-misdeeds-brought-cpi-m-congress-together-in-tripura-manik-sarkar-1186931.html Ok123l (talk) 05:54, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l I know CPIM Tripura State Committee has requested CPIM and INC candidates to withdraw their nomination in some seats. Please wait till they do so. XYZ 250706 (talk) 06:08, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l @SharadSHRD7 But SDF are the opposition parties in Tripura only, the opposition parties came in seat sharing. It is in no way an alliance. XYZ 250706 (talk) 06:09, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Ok123l Till now no CPIM and INC candidates have withdrawn their nomination. (https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/) XYZ 250706 (talk) 06:10, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

BanglaHunt exit poll
[edit]I think there's no problem in adding BanglaHunt-Polstreet exit poll for Tripura as it is sourced. You said it was unreliable but in exit polls the criteria isn't usually too strict compared to opinion polls, as for example RepublicTV is deemed unreliable by Wikipedia but no one has a problem with showing its exit polls here. Though the average needs to be proportionate if BanglaHunt opinion poll is being added. Ok123l (talk) 09:50, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
@XYZ 250706 Ok123l (talk) 09:51, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
Please note that Banglahunt is one of the largest media house in eastern region closely working in all the states. I also see the mean is not getting affected by adding it. Please share your thought. Avik tubai (talk) 06:06, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
@ok123l @XYZ 250706 Please share your thought Avik tubai (talk) 06:12, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
@XYZ 250706 @Ok123l, I think that Avik tubai (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is an possible employee in BanglaHunt, All his edits are about BanglaHunt, and he is recently banned in Wikipedia for promotional advertising! Chennai Super Kings Lover (talk)
@Chennai Super Kings Lover I was also thinking of the same when I was watching his recent edits and talk page.
@Chennai Super Kings Lover Why the reply option is not visible after your comment?
