Queen's Park[edit]

Hi. The Queen's Park article lists the City of Toronto as a lessee, not the provincial government. Perhaps a mistake?--Jetam2 (talk) 20:53, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of Permanent Grant into 999-year lease[edit]

Unneeded content fork about a specific example from Mauritius. It consists primarily of an extended version of the list of islands already found in this article. Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 21:13, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's an interesting point but clearly is not factually pertinent. A grant is not a lease and by mixing the two, it would confuse readers and not clarify what the learned Lords of the Privy Council have analysed and categorically decided on. The legal precedent here is important so to try to make a grant a lease in this case, as is being suggested, would be confusing and potentially misleading as well as being contrary to established law and precedent, on record. The bit about the islands being mentioned is not material nor relevant in the light of the clear, categorical and legally established dichotomy between a grant and a lease.

Closing, given the uncontested objection and no support with stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 10:11, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
