[edit]Does anybody know where the alternative title "Jazz Symphonietta" originates? According to Maurice Peress, the original manuscript was entitled "Americana", with the new title "A Jazz Symphony" pasted over (see programme note by Maurice Peress for his recording of the 1925 version, MusicMasters 01612-67094-2, 1992). The 1955 revised version also seems to go by the title "A Jazz Symphony", i.e. including the indefinite article (see e.g. H K Gruber's recording, RCA 09026-68066-2, 1996). --Ericulva (talk) 15:23, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
- More than ten years have passed and nobody has replied or provided a source, so I'm going to remove that claim. --188.28.6.102 (talk) 22:26, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
