HBO or Max

Variety & Entertainment Weekly states that it is going to release on HBO while The Hollywood Reporter states it will release on Max. Variety Reported in January 2021 That HBO not HBO Max is Developing the series. So Im confused which is true will it release on HBO or Max? Brandon Targaryen (talk) 14:12, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's a good question, Brandon Targaryen. I also understood The Sympathizer to be planned for the actual HBO network airing, but the rollout of the trailer seemed to indicate Max. Honestly, the news was so engulfed by the new Max rollout, I think there were some associations that may not be there. It could even be saying Max is the streaming platform that will follow HBO airings... very unclear. All in all, it's definitely being produced by HBO.
