List of produced things

Could someone do full listing of Spelling produced material?--Hannu 15:16, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

See Category: TV shows by Aaron Spelling

Aaron Spelling did not graduate from college in 1945. He was well known at SMU. He was in the drama part of the building, while I was down the hall on the same floor in the fine arts dept. I didn't enter SMU until Sept. 1947.

Estranged from Tori?

Nowhere does it mention that he was estranged from Tori, in fact all the articles show her in a beautiful red gown in the backgroun as he made some speech. Can we get a cite for this or remove it? Antares33712 20:03, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

From imdb news articles:

Spelling Reconciles with Ailing Father 22 June 2006 (WENN) Tori Spelling reconciled with her estranged father Aaron Spelling exactly one week before the TV legend suffered a stroke at his California home. The 83-year-old Aaron is currently at home recovering after suffering the stroke on Father's Day. On June 11, Tori visited her father at his Beverly Hills mansion for the first time in nine months and introduced him to her new husband Dean McDermott. Tori split with husband Charlie Shanian after 15 months of marriage, which reportedly caused her relationship with her family to become strained. She explains, "I'm so over the moon that Dean and my dad finally met." The teary reunion was prompted by her father's ill health and helped along by Tori's brother, Randy. Before suffering his stroke, Aaron was diagnosed with oral cancer in 2001. Tori is still estranged from her mother, Candy, who was out of town when the visit occurred. She adds, "It's sad that my mother and I have the relationship we do, but you can't pick your family. I lost the last nine months of time with my dad because of the circumstances with my mom." Tori says of the reunion with her father, "It was as if a day hadn't gone by since we saw each other."

Listed for cleanup

Listed on WP:Cleanup, this needs some work. There are some minor POV issues, as well as issues with non-encyclopedic tone. RainbowCrane | Talk 18:11, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Middle name

Does he have a middle name? If so, shouldn't it be included in the article? Amaas120 01:11, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

What does the 'F' stand for? I'm sure it's mentioned somewhere. It could really improve the guides quality if you have that small info. andrew 09:47, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Company

What will become of Spelling Television, Inc. now? Will Tori and/or Randy run the company, or will it be folded into CBS Paramount Television? King Shadeed 22:52, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

CBS Paramount own Spelling Television and did so even when Spelling was still alive. He basically sold the company to them some years ago but remained on as CEO. I imagine he retained a certain percentage of stock shares for himself in the deal, as well as acquiring shares in Paramount. These could very well be bequeathed to his heirs but it wouldn't give them control over the company because Spelling Television is a subsidiary of another corporation.79.66.92.148 (talk) 07:22, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Surname

Was Spelling his original surname? It doesn't sound Polish or Jewish.

  • On p. 1 of his autobiography, "A Prime Time Life", it says his mother was from Russia and his father was from Poland. So far, I have not found any reference to his surname being anything other than Spelling. If I find something, I will cite it.

Love Boat

Sure this has been asked before here, but why isn`t love boat in the sort list?

What sort list? Dismas|(talk) 03:20, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
short list that is; Beginning in 1968, Spelling began producing successful television shows including

Writer [sic]?

What does "writer" describe in this sentence?: " As of 2009, Spelling's eponymous production company Spelling Television holds the record as the most prolific television writer [sic], with 218 producer and executive producer credits." A company can't be a writer. Very sloppy. Please rewrite. Autodidact1 (talk) 08:22, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

garbled sentence

At the bottom of the career section I found this sentence: "In 2015, Returns Mr.Spelling Dan Castellaneta, The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story" It doesn't make any sense to me; the sentence is completely garbled. --Maxl (talk) 12:03, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

Mr. Mom?

Spelling was credited as a producer of the film, Mr. Mom as its says on the Mr. Mom page. 47.54.189.22 (talk) 11:58, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

Parents country of origin

Please amend the statement of the parent's country of origin. Poland was non-existent as a state from 1795-1918. It has to be either the German Empire, the Russian Empire, or the Austro-Hungarian Empire. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hoffmansk (talkcontribs) 08:24, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

Did Spelling smoke?

The article notes that he got oral cancer. Did Aaron Spelling smoke? Thanks in advance to anybody who knows. Betathetapi454 (talk) 10:43, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
