The result of the move request was: merge Ain-Taya into Aïn Taya. Favonian (talk) 18:56, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
Ain-Taya → Aïn Taya – Proper spelling of the place. See here for recent news articles from the Algerian press (with very reputable sources like El Watan and Liberté) with the proper spelling. Places in Algeria that begin with Aïn never have a dash after the name, also the middle character in Aïn is always a ï and not a i. TonyStarks (talk) 10:08, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- Support moving to a more accurate name. Agree with the comprehensive nomination which leaves very little else for me to say! bobrayner (talk) 12:30, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- Comment - I just realized that the Aïn Taya article already exists (and has more detail than the mispelt one), so a simple merge and redirect will do the trick. TonyStarks (talk) 05:56, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- That seems reasonable. bobrayner (talk) 11:24, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
