The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Airmont, New York/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

==As of September 6, 2008==

I have rated this a stub article for its miniscule size, and for the fact that what is already on here is relatively uncited. The History section is also apparently completely irrelevant towards what the article's focus is. Editors who see this obviously can search for new veins of information about this village, and should confirm what is already on here. As previously mentioned, the History section is the neediest part of this article.

I rated this Low-importance because of its small population and its relative anonymity on an international scale.

This sentence needs removal or major fixing.

[edit]

The sentence, "The Tappan and Warawankogs of the Lenni-Lenape wolf tribes, members of the Algonquin Nation worshiped the sun, moon, stars, and a spirit called Manitou," has several issues. Most trivially, there is a misuse of commas. Second, also trivial, worshipped is misspelled. Third, what are wolf tribes? Fourth, and most seriously because it smacks of racism, calling Manitou a spirit seems to trivialize Native American theology. Looking more broadly what makes a collection of rocks "of interest"? And this bullet point is unsourced. Barring any disagreement, I'm going to remove it. Dgndenver (talk) 02:13, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
