@Alexandermcnabb hi again, and thanks for your work at NPP (I think). The Canadaland podcast on mining provides significant coverage, I think that alone could be used to justify notability, of course lots of other independent coverage. I wanted to check if you would agree to remove the tag in that context. I did add some stuff since the tag, although it's not a major change, more details and passing mentions. Hey. Oh but me oh my that was a damning (I think) there! ;) I have no objection to removing the tag - as I said elsewhere, I consider it a request for eyes not a judgement per se. I didn't realise you were the author; I was concerned at a very local entity with a very direct focus and at the objectivity of some of the sources - and at passing mentions/quotes in pieces (bearing in mind "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" - I have no involvement in or knowledge of mining in PNG and really don't have the time or inclination for a 'deep dive' but activist journalism worries me a little as sourcing. There's clearly no concern grave enough to warrant a veer away to AfD, but I did feel it worth flagging a concern. Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 04:24, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is true that the source is activist journalism. I think the sources deal with the subject and issues fairly, but that is open to critique. Maybe I'll leave the tag up for now for those extra eyes and I'll revisit the article a few times myself. Thanks. All the best. CT55555 (talk) 11:24, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
