There are attempts to turn this article into a memorial. Despite Alan Gordon's untimely recent demise, this is not the appropriate place for such edits. The present article sorely needs cited sources and verifiablilty - not unsourced, grief ridden, POV entries; however laudable they may be, and with all due respect to the departed. Please see What Wikipedia is not.
