Please note that Alan Klinkhoff Gallery is more like an auction house than a regular art gallery. In Canada auction houses and related business for sellers/collectors are called galleries ie Heffel Gallery. This is because only art galleries – and not individuals – can be a member of the Art Dealer's Association of Canada. So notability belongs to the gallery – one has a reputation because one is a member of the Art Dealer's Association – hence an Alan Klinkhoff Gallery entry rather than a Alan Klinkhoff entry. Also while Alan Klinkhoff is notable as an expert on Canadian Art the gallery itself is notable to museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts due to speciality services/expertise in antique framing and to the Vancouver Art Gallery for such non-selling retrospectives as the John Little exhibition, the first public survey of his work. The gallery is of interest to the public due to popular, non-selling exhibitions on hockey and for estate sales such as the 2017 William I M. Turner Jr exhibition. Sales results from the 2017 Canadian Masters exhibition were published in the Ottawa Citizen and Montreal Gazette as well as in their blog. HeatherBlack (talk) 14:44, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
