Name

Most sources I can see have him as Colville. Any objections to changing? Kernel Saunters (talk) 13:59, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Only rear admiral

I changed the vice admiral rank to rear admiral. The source does not say he was promoted to vice admiral.

Futhermore, Colville became a captain on 6 Mar 1744 Julian. He would have been promoted to vice admiral with Sir John Moore, 1st Baronet (Q3182111) and Sir James Douglas, 1st Baronet (Q7527404) on 18 October 1770 had he not died in May 1770. Glrx (talk) 17:49, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
