Talk conversation about Alonzo Barnard
[edit]I am moving this from my talk page to this page:
I am have researched Alonzo Barnard for years and years and here I find that you know incredible am't of stuff about him. Would appreciate corresponding. As I write, I am heading to visit Benzonia, Michigan to sniff about. I am focused on Fredric & Elisabeth Ayer who recruited Barnard to Minnesota missions and who lived at Belle Prairie where he apparently lived after leaving Pembina-St.Joseph, for a time and where he had a dauguerrean studio at Little Falls. The history of the "Oberlin Band" of missionaries and their collaboration with the Ayers is a remarkable one, given the sectarian nature of many of the mission projects. To contact me, I am Mrs.Bryan and my email carrier is ATT and its surname is dot net. Linda Bryan, from St. Paul Linda Bryan (talk) 13:04, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- Linda Bryan I prefer to talk here for several reasons: doesn't get lost in my email (a big issue for me), provides history for expansion of the Alonzo Barnard article, and if we put it on the article page, then it provides an opportunity for anyone else interested in Barnard to join the conversation as well.
- I am trying to remember what it was that got me interested in him, but I saw several points of interest for me: Underground Railroad, Chatham, Kent, and American missionaries on the 19th century frontier. It was definitely fun to research and write the article.
- What would you like to discuss?–CaroleHenson (talk) 18:35, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
