"God"

[edit]

Various versions of the myth reveal a process through which the myth was transformed over time, but the legend itself is traced between 3,000 and 2,000 years BC at the beginning of the first Iron Age, as in the myth Demiurge Amirani defies God by introducing to the human kind the use of metal, and just like Prometheus, he is punished and chained on Caucasus with his cursed dog Kursha.

What "God"? This is ridiculous. There was no monotheism in 3000-2000BC. Prinsgezinde (talk) 21:22, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Name of the epic?

[edit]

It's very strange that the name of the epic Amirani appears in (or at least, the version generally considered the definitive one) isn't named and is referred to only as "an epic". What if someone (i.e. me) was intrigued by the summery in this article and wanted to seek out the story itself? Is Amiran-Darejaniani, mentioned in the See Also section, the epic, or is it a related story? It doesn't say. I'm sure Amiran is almost certainly another name for Amirani, but the fact that he's called by a different name in the article for that story suggests it isn't the same version of the story referred to here.BrokenEye3 (talk) 20:58, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
