Dear Sikh History or advanced user/editor,

I want to make a change to the part that says "anjana chaudhari is a backward class", the reference that they provide is a private book from a private author. My source is the official "National Commission for Backward Classes Act, 1993 (Act No. 27 of 1993) (Database Searching)" of INDIA. THIS and i repeat ONLY THIS is the source which is true and legitimate. According to this source there is no such listing in the Gujarat section for "Anjana, Chaudhari, Chaudhary, Patidar, Patel, etc". The link for this page is " http://ncbc.nic.in/backward-classes/gujarat.pdf ". The main website is " http://ncbc.nic.in/ ", which is a GOVERNMENT OF INDIA website. I simply want to remove that link which states Anjana Chaudhari is a Other Backward Caste because it is simply false (I have the official source to prove it).

Now i ask you, how may i go about doing this? Because every-time i try to make a edit and change to the page it somehow gets reverted even though the changes are cited and explained!

This is a bit frustrating at this point. I have been at this for months now...

Unfortunately, on Wikipedia our primrary concern is WP:Verifiability. The source that cites Anjana Chaudhri appears verifiable. Infact, books are considered better sources than websites. What you could state is, Anjana Chaudhuri is considered OBC by some sources and not by other sources. What you cannot do it delete a WP:Verifiable source completly. On a side note this article needs a total revamp. It is very poorly written, and the other sources are poor. Thanks--SH 18:19, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BUT THIS IS NOT JUST ANY WEBSITE. IT IS A GOVERNMENT WEBSITE. THE TOPIC DISCUSSED "OTHER BACKWARD CASTES" IS MADE BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT ANY ORDINARY AUTHOR OF A BOOK!

Please note the following points:
  1. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. See WP:Manual of Style
  2. See the section of referencing under WP:Verifiability.
  3. Do not use capatilisation when communicating as that implies you are shouting.
  4. Do not add talk about this page on my page.

Thanks--SH 10:02, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ANJANA CHAUDHARI

[edit]

Why do you keep deleting and undoing the proper changes? You have no idea what your doing and the claims your making. Who are you to correct me? I have plenty of references i can prove my point with. Don't touch the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rjp2490 (talkcontribs) 04:51, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Rjp2490, and welcome to Wikipedia. I tested out the link you provided as a source and there is nothing there; it's 404. Try it yourself and see. http://books.google.com/booksid=IWrTs5yt1DkC&lpg=PA1099&dq=anjana%20patidar%20kshatriya&pg=PA1099#v=onepage&q=anjana%20patidar%20kshatriya&f=false You must have copied the URL incorrectly somehow, as this link does not work. Please do not try to prohibit people from editing Wikipedia pages; Sikh History is within his rights to edit this or any other Wikipedia page. By the way, have you ever edited Wikipedia under any other user names? Thank you. --Diannaa (Talk) 05:10, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Infact the editor has used WP:Synthesis this time around, and seems to have spammed the article with the same link. Thanks --SH 16:03, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm new to wikipedia, my apologizes. And i'm not sure if this is the way im supposed to leave a message either. But, i want to say that even according to the wiki article for Anjana Chaudhari, "Another way of writing this classes' name are Chaudrari of Hindu Anjana, Chaudhari or Hindu Aanjana, Chaudhari or Aanjana, Aanjana Patel, Aanjana Patidar, Aanjana Desai, Aanjana Kanbi, Chaudhari Patel, Chaudhari Patidar". Therefore, my cited source was correct as it referred to "Anjana Patel" which is a term interchangeable with "Anjana Chaudhari". Is it not? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rjp2490 (talkcontribs) 04:51, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User SikhHistory,

You undid my last edit when i correctly cited a valid source.

Hello SikhHistory, Why must you undo changes when all changes are explained and also cited? There is no major change in my last edit other than removeing "other backward caste". This change is cited and explained. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rjp2490 (talkcontribs) 04:51, 14 April 2011 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.45.111.235 (talk) [reply]

Anjana Chaudhari

[edit]

This is Hindu Kurmi(kanabi)Caste Refer census of india 1921 volume 8 part 1 page 180 to 185. Also refer census of india 1931 where first time chaudhari appeared instead of kanabi.......in 1931 census full detail given about anjana kanabi....... In 1931 census kadva and leva kanabi wrote patidar while anjana kanbi wrote chaudhari....... There are many books where anjana refered as kanabi like mahajati patidar by devendra patel;kanbi kshatriya patidaro ka itihas by mangubhai patel and many more....... There are many gazzetes by bombay government in british period where clearly told about anjana kanbi.....so show truth not falseness........... Akakakalal (talk) 16:50, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For God sake stop playing with history and at least don't misrepresent the facts, around 3 lakh Muslims were killed in Jammu and you are trying to eye wash major war crimes of dogra crime. Aadam Bezaar (talk) 17:48, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Anjana Chaudhari is NOT an ST caste. Anjana Chaudhari are classified as OBC in Gujarat. Wrong information in this page about Anjana Chaudhari. This is an insult to the Anjana Chaudhari caste. Wikipedia must correct this information as soon as possible. Surta (talk) 15:04, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
