"Black" coral is white?

Maybe I'm missing something. The illustration on the article (as I type this, 2 April 2018) shows a white coral and the caption even makes a point of mentioning it, but the article says it's black? Is this the white flesh of the animal covering a black skeleton? If so that might be worth mentioning. IAmNitpicking (talk) 13:37, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I was a bit mystified by that at first. The black coral gets its name from the black skeleton, with the living tissue often being brightly coloured. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:49, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
