File:Azadqadin2.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Azadqadin2.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Merge

[edit]

Propose merging Armenian architects of Baku here. The architecture of Baku was shaped by many architects, not just Azerbaijani and Armenian architects of Baku looks like a WP:CONTENTFORK. Brandmeistertalk 15:30, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. There's no reason to divide Baku architects into ethnic groups. They all worked in diverse creative environments, in partnerships with professionals of various ethnicities. The division is artificial. Grandmaster 19:40, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. I don't see any reason to divide architectures based on nationalities / ethnic minorities. Best, Konullu (talk) 20:35, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Needs more modern references

There's another building in a similar flowing style that reminds me of a snowdrift - I came here hoping to find out what it is !

Image being deleted

[edit]

Are you aware that File:Baku Olympic Stadium, in Azerbaijan.jpg is going to be deleted? There is no Freedom of panorama in Azerbaijan, so photos of modern architecture cannot be hosted at Commons (the rest of the images may not have been nominated for deletion yet, but will be – hm, most of those are declared free by a national agency, so their status might be OK). The image could probably be uploaded locally on en-wp, on the bases of fair use (see WP:EDP). --LPfi (talk) 08:37, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
