This Arthur Kitson did not write "The Life of Captain James Cook". That book is dedicated to "My Wife Linda Douglas Kitson" and she was the wife of Arthur Octavius Kitson. They married in Australia 4th August 1881 and they were still married in 1911 as Linda was in London then and describes herself as married. Arthur Kitson inventor and monetary reformer married Fannie Aschenbach in Philladelphia in 1886 and after she divorced him he then married Gertrude Horgan about 1902. Therefore from the dedication there is no doubt the James Cook Biography was not written by Arthur but by Arthur Octavius. ::Neil::
