Notability?

I have searched extensively in Newspapers.com and all am finding are brief mentions, generally in a list of other showgirls. Other than that, a bit about a divorce and a lawsuit. She only gets brief mentions, if even that, for the films and often is not even listed on the billing. @Silver seren, it looks like you have done some work as well on this. What are your thoughts? I haven't done a deep dive on this one yet. I've found in past actresses from the early 20th century, particularly for African Americans, that a lot of the sources haven't been digitized yet and Newspapers.com can only get you so far. And half the problem with Newspapers.com is that there frequently are sources to be found, but you really have to get the search terms right to find them. While I did search both "Artie Young" and "Artie Brandon", she is more consistently referred to as Young (limited search to only California and New York). I also did nationwide searches on the films as well because I found Newspapers.com might miss matches occasionally and easier to do a broader search but only found a couple articles that even mentioned her. I was disappointed with the California Eagle...lots of mentions but not a whole lot outside of that. I will list the the most useful ones here in the next day or so. @PigeonChickenFish I added some sources. The newspaper ones are largely "scraps" but intended to put together a "story". She moved to NYC in 1946 and continued performing but was only there for a couple years as best I can tell then she was back in CA. At some point in the late 40s or early 50s she got married as her last name changed to Davis but I was unable to find anything about the marriage (I even looked at Ancestry.com trying to put the pieces together). Also, just a note about Foster Johnson, he likely is notable as he was an influential dancer/teacher, GBook source indication (he also was married to Nichelle Nichols, father of Kyle Johnson (actor)), which is why I think it is worth mentioning they were dance partners for a brief period. Of course you may think any or all of this is unimportant or not well-sourced enough from an encyclopedic perspective so do as you see fit and do not at all worry about offending/stepping on toes.
