Added Other Artists

[edit]

I did my edit and additions before I noticed that "other artists" were reverted recently, probably because there wasn't sufficient information regarding their recordings. Notability was also mentioned. Several of the artists that I added are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Albert King, Booker T, Santana, Eric Burdon & Elvin Bishop. Carlos Santana has won ten Grammy awards. Al Kooper is in Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, in Nashville. Many of the others have had long and successful careers. The composition itself is notable as it has been recorded by so many artists over 40+ years. I am still researching several of the others and may add them in the future. I agree that a list of some of the most notable versions should appear, which would also include Gary Moore, since it was on his most successful album Still Got the Blues.
Also, it's common knowledge among blues/rock enthusiasts that the melody of this song was sped up by Duane Allman and turned into the riff of Layla. Neither the Layla article nor this one mentions it, but it's been discussed so often it should be easy to source. Jules TH 16 (talk) 18:40, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
