AfD? Clean up?
[edit]This article is not written in neutral langauge, but more importantly, is this a non-notable subject? Joaquin Murietta 04:01, 16 October 2005 (UTC)
- I've removed the POV notice. It is within policy to state a point of view, as long as the context of the article balances that point of view. Criticism of U.S. military is not POV in itself, as long as that criticism takes place within a balanced article. The subject of this article may be notable enough by the fact that there are newspaper articles about him. If we find we have a lot of stub articles about Guantanamo-Bay detainees, we should merge them into a decent single article. I've rewritten the article, so that all claims are sourced (even saying "s.o. said..." is sufficient not to make it the opinion of the article. The stories surrounding Asadullah are confusing, and I've based my information mainly on the Guardian's reports. There are different things said about Asadullah's age, and so I've gone for the conservative estimates. One measure of a sources ability to understand the facts is their not giving him the surname Rahman! --Gareth Hughes 16:36, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
Edits
[edit]I edited the article, removing the warlord's alleged affiliation/unaffiliation with Al-Queda because I didn't see anything in the articles cited about that, and changed the sexual slavery to before he was arrested (as it says in an article). Epsoul 16:28, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
move
[edit]What is the source for the name that is used now? After carefully evaluating the sources in the article and multiple secondary sources from search results. I plan to move the article to Asad Ullah. Any objection? IQinn (talk) 11:04, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- No objection after month. Renamed to Asad Ullah (detainee) as Asad Ullah has been occupied. IQinn (talk) 05:52, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Age questions
[edit]Why is the category "Children kept in captivity" listed on this page? He is either 20/21 or 25/26 depending upon which sources are correct. Someone over the age of 20 is not considered a child.
Furthermore, I'm wondering why the subject's infobox declares he was born in 1989 (and that he's 20/21) years old when this, as stated in the first paragraph of the article, has not been definitively settled?
