"Missing verb in sentence"

[edit]

As of this writing, the second paragraph in the [[1]] section consists of a sentence that lacks a verb: "Between each commissure of the aortic valve and opposite the cusps of the aortic valve, three small dilations called the aortic sinuses.". I wish I could fix it, but I don't know enough about heart anatomy to do so. If you fix it, please delete this comment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DBooth (talkcontribs) 13:06, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Aortic root"

[edit]

I suggest adding the term "aortic root" with a redirect to this page. Thomas.Hedden (talk) 00:47, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That was done. However, the article lacks an illustration to show this structure and related structures, such as the sinotubular junction and aortic sinuses. Added "Anatomical diagram requested|date=April2020" yoyo (talk) 23:53, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
One of the diagrams does include these details - I have removed the Anatomical diagram requested tag (by converting it to text). Egmason (talk) 01:50, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Clinical significance

[edit]

This section needs to be added. A cursory look reveals no wikipedia page on surgical replacement of the ascending aorta.
