There's actually Russia, not ANA. Because it is IOC's event, not IAAF's. Russia is IOC member again. They are not IAAF member, but even IAAF includes Russia in the medal table: source. --Pelmeen10 (talk) 23:33, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

User:Pelmeen10 : I do not agree. I was in the stadium all days. At the medal ceremony, in French, English, and Spanish, they only said ANA, never Russia, even if the 4 athletes, all won medals, wear the Russian uniform. The IAAF official results, as here, also wrote always ANA, and never RUS. Why Russia had only 4 athletes qualified because of IAAF rules? If not, it would be much more. Look well to the results on IAAF org site, and not only to their wrong medal table.-Enzino (talk) 23:38, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's the direct source to the medal table. How many athletes qualified is not really relevant here. Why is under athlete name in the specific results ANA, may be the cause of their system (linked to their profiles). See the results here. Besides competing with Russian clothing, they also raised Russian flag in each medal ceremony - not the Olympic or whatever ANA flag. I watched the athletics competition live at https://www.buenosaires2018.com/?lng=en and I saw nothing about ANA. You can even now look at the videos of athletics there. The videos there don't seem to have direct links, but a screenshot from boys' pole vault medal ceremony - [1]. I'll also give you a Youtube video link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAUuxDk78XM sorry no time currently to search any Russian participation, but if you find any from the Olympic channel, you can see it yourself. I can provide more evidence tomorrow. Maybe Almagestas or WildCherry06 can explain you better. --Pelmeen10 (talk) 00:30, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I do not need your YouTube links as I personally attended, and I speak quite well French, English and Spanish. All the official comments and even the locals, said Atletas Neutrales Autorisados (ANA). As IAAF did in in official site.--Enzino (talk) 01:09, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What IAAF, commentators and locals said does not matter. They compete for Russia according to IOC, there was no mention of ANA everywhere in the start lists and so on.--User:Tomcat7 (talk) 10:28, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Athletics is run by World Athletics not by IOC and all the Russian athletes were clearly under ANA status during those Games, as you can see here and elsewhere.--Arorae (talk) 18:16, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Performances (total)[edit]

@Kasper2006: - this year the competition included 2 Stages (not 1 final), so the overall standings and medals were calculated as Stage1+Stage2 summary. See women 1500m. I agree that how this currently looks is quite bad. IMO we should list both results if we just have enough space here? --Pelmeen10 (talk) 11:04, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ok. but was not clear. --Kasper2006 (talk) 16:11, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Inter language links (ILL)[edit]

As perhaps some doesn’t know well and start unnecessary edit war, the model ill (for inter wiki language, from Help:Interwiki linking) could be quite odd when the name is not exactly the same in English and in the other linked language, but I have added this ill models to results’ lists since more than 10 years and now I do not mistake anymore. By the way, here is the history of the unnecessary edits:
