Link spam
[edit]Regarding the removal of links to 3 external website product pages, it's a shame that substantiating a claim with external websites is now regarded as linkspam. I find it hard to see how to provide readers with further information about emerging products in Europe without doing this and the article now rather mysteriously alludes to residential products without the reader being able to find out about them.
This article already has a rather skewed perspective, for example not mentioning water mist for commercial kitchens or maritime use. Perhaps a partial rewrite or some more subsections on available products are needed. I'm not sure residential pre-engineered automatic fire suppression deserves its own page yet.

- Hi, Amh15. Although links to manufacturers external websites can be useful in providing examples of components or systems being discussed in an article, a reference citation to a source meeting WP:V guidelines almost always provides sufficient information to sufficiently understand the issue. Linking to manufacturers' websites has been used as a backdoor method of advertising, and does not conform to WP:3PARTY. Cheers. Kilmer-san (talk) 17:08, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- I also agree with you the article needs work, overall. It tends to repeat information covered in other articles and should probably be merged. Kilmer-san (talk) 17:09, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
